What it will not do

  • Not for babies who are starting to roll: the AAP says to stop swaddling at the first signs.
  • Not a crib blanket. Loose fabric stays out of the crib.

Care

Muslin swaddles go in the washing machine and get softer with every wash. For the knit sets and the minky blanket, follow the care instructions that come with them.

Swaddles are for babies who are not yet trying to roll. Once rolling starts, the swaddle comes off.
